True Independence

I have a music program called FL Studio (affectionately known as Fruity Loops to those who have used it for years.)  This program allows users to create their own music – similar to other programs like Reason, Garage Band, etc, etc.

Well, Donovan loves it.  He loves music as much as I do.  A few days ago, I grabbed the camera because I needed to capture this moment.  In the video below, he is dancing his own dance…but the cool thing to me is that he is dancing to music that he created.  That, to me, is true independence.  Forget about all the crap on the radio…just make your own music and then dance to that.

Soulquarian Quote of the Day

"There is no hip hop manual for growing old...The 22-year-old college grad who used to love the Roots in 1994 never left. He’s just 40 now and has a wife and kids and doesn’t feel like spending all night at a club."
