The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Pisces

This is just a quick note to let everybody know (because everybody reads my blog) that NBA TV is showing the 1979 classic movie The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh. I saw this movie when I was a kid, and a few years ago I tried to describe this movie to my son. We tried searching for it online but it’s nowhere to be found (legally, that is.) Netflix doesn’t offer it, Hulu doesn’t carry it…I didn’t know where else to look.

I don’t know why I love this movie so much. Perhaps it’s because it was the first sports movie I ever watched. I just thought it was hilarious…but as a kid, everything’s hilarious.

If any of you watch it tonight, let me know what you think.

Soulquarian Quote of the Day

"There is no hip hop manual for growing old...The 22-year-old college grad who used to love the Roots in 1994 never left. He’s just 40 now and has a wife and kids and doesn’t feel like spending all night at a club."
