Cleared for Takeoff

I finally received the email from APU’s Office of the Graduate Registrar.  As of 8:30 yesterday morning, I am finally cleared for graduation.

Last night, I dropped off my dissertation’s final copy to the Director of Library Publications in order to begin the book binding process.  The last hoop to jump through is the 20-minute presentation on my research study that I have to give on December 14 (followed by the hooding ceremony) with the actual commencement taking place that Saturday December 17.

Does this mean we can start calling you Doc Brown now?

I think so. Right now I’m just waiting for December when things are officially official. But feel free to call me Doc Brown…I need to get used to hearing it.

Soulquarian Quote of the Day

"There is no hip hop manual for growing old...The 22-year-old college grad who used to love the Roots in 1994 never left. He’s just 40 now and has a wife and kids and doesn’t feel like spending all night at a club."
